Yesterday, we delivered our first Wheel to Mr. Theo Bosma. At 93 years of age, he is our eldest backer as far as we know. Obviously, we decided to give Mr. Bosma priority. When I called him to make the appointment, he told me he was very curious. I think staying curious is the way to become 93!
He collected jazz and blues records when he was young, but hadn’t listened to them for years. On top of his stack of records was an album of Django Reinhart and Stephane Grappelli.
We hooked up the Wheel to his hifi system, listened to the -now vintage- music, and then it struck me. Wheel is back to its initial vision. Not a bunch of parts and specifications, but an instrument to convey music. I was reminded it was about the music all along.
While we continue preparations to ramp up production, the first batch of surveys will be sent out. We’ll keep you posted.
